The Empower Campaign, OU student chapter, will host the Mr. Empower Pageant on Friday, February 12, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Baker Center Theatre. The pageant will feature male representatives from 10 student organizations.

The sections of the pageant are:

  1. Introduction of contestant and student organization he represents.
  2. Talent
  3. Beach Attire
  4. Interview
  5. Judging

You can find more details about the specific sections of the pageant by e-mailing Ashley.Luthern@gmail.com.

The Empower Campaign is a nonprofit that works to provide educational opportunities to orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda, Africa. The audience for the Mr. Empower Pageant will pay $3 for admission and the proceeds will benefit The Empower Campaign. Therefore, the contestants are actually performing a volunteer service requirement for three hours, which may be useful to many student organizations. In addition, contestants’ student organizations will be promoted throughout the contest.

Please e-mail Ashley.Luthern@gmail.com if you are interested in participating. The entry fee per contestant is $5, which will be pooled and then combined with $50 from Empower OU for the $100 grand prize. The contestant entry deadline is Wednesday, February 3.

    Sincerely,

    Ashley Luthern
Public Relations Intern, The Empower Campaign
